Plant-based diet may lessen the risk of metastatic prostate cancer

Plant-based diet that have high calcium and phosphorus does not increase the activity of the fibroblast growth factor 23 which is implicated in the cause of bone prostate cancer metastasis. However, meat can increase the fibroblast growth factor and hence increase the risk of metastatic disease.
